An Evening with Gabor Gorgey - Hungarian novelist, playwright and poet - Wednesday, Feb 4 @ 7 pm

2004-02-14

Members of New York's Threshold Theater Company will read in English two hilarious, and also chilling and poignant, excerpts from SIREN OF THE ADRIATIC, the last volume of Gábor Görgey's tetralogy, LAST REPORT FROM ATLANTIS, centered around the scion of a Hungarian aristocratic family (a family not unlike Mr. Görgey's) and his adventures and vicissitudes under communism, as well as in the world that emerged after its fall.

Gábor Görgey, the distinguished Hungarian novelist, playwright, poet, and former Minister of Culture, is visiting New York with his wife, opera singer Ildikó Iván.
