Please React to Slovak Language Law
2009-10-17Attached is a blog by István Deák, Columbia University Professor Emeritus of History, critcizing the Slovak language law which was published earlier this week on the New York Review of Books website:
The entry by Professor Deák is the first to appear in the blog section just launched by the New York Review. As the Review is an influential journal, it would be important for the article to be followed by thoughtful commentary endorsing and expanding the substance of Professor Deák\'s remarks. You can
add your comments by scrolling to the bottom of the link, and filling out the form.
Please take this opportunity for effective action to restore decency and equitable treatment to the Hungarian community of Slovakia.
